Thanks to the internet and recent technology, you can get almost anything at the touch of a button (or smartphone). The concept of delayed gratification has become outdated. Instead, we are living in a world of instant gratification and near-constant stimulation. For that reason, many people find themselves struggling to focus and get things done.
So, what’s the solution?
Many successful people, including Fortune 500 CEOs, top salespeople, personal development mentors and athletes, have figured out how to focus in on their goals. Some practice and preach the process of reprogramming the subconscious mind through meditation, affirmations, visualization, breathing and more.
As an entrepreneur, I can personally vouch for the power of affirmations and meditation. The act of repeating my goals has motivated me in my business and personal life. For those who aren’t familiar with affirmations and meditation, here’s an abridged definition of those terms:
Affirmation is the practice of positive thinking and fostering a belief by writing down statements or phrases in the present tense. It’s the process of repeating new thoughts and images to rewire the subconscious mind for success. For this technique to be effective, repeat a set of positive statements or phrases by linking them to a particular feeling.
